Let me tell you about one of my favorite places in the world:
...my roof.
Roof: it's actually a funny word when you think about it. Roof, roof, roof... Sounds like a dog! :)What a silly word for such an amazing place.
The sweet bird's call and the wind gently flows.
I don't know what it is, but there's something magical about being on the roof.
You're above the world, and you can just STOP... and think.
It's nice to be able to think out of the box- literally- outside the four walls that always surround me.
It's refreshing to realize that my problems aren't so big after all... not even the slightest.
Looking at all the zooming cars with busy people, and joggers worried about losing calories, and houses filled with chores to be completed made me realize something.
(Let's call it an ...*Ah ha! Moment!)
How often do we take the time to look at the beauty all around us?
Ah, we are.. we are so so SO incredibly blessed! :)
Take some time to STOP... Look, and Listen.. :)

Umm... sorry, but WHY ARE YOU ON THE ROOF???? And how did you get up there??? Sorry, thats the protective aunt in me coming out. On other hand, it is important to stop and realize our blessings.
But, don't forget to look up. In the night, when you're up on the roof, there's like a connection to the stars, the cosmos, calling us and offering comfort, and opens the very edges of our minds to the mysteries of the universe. During the day when there's a clear sky, the deep blue flows into our eyes. When it's overcast or raining, you can feel the power of nature and the smell of rain, and the soft green grass make a feeling of serenity.
Hahaha oh Sherri!!! There's this wonderful thing called a LADDER... :) Perfectly safe!
